Update

 Gooooooooooood Morning Vietnam!

Welcome back to the Warzone. I'm dialling in to tell you that I'm alive and well. After crunch week and parties, I'm excited to announce that I've completed my novel. Whoo! Completed! What's that mean? It means I get to keep working on it! What? I thought you completed it... Well of course, it's completed. But it's not DONE. I still have to edit it, then rewrite chunks of it, then work on it some more. So what's the point in telling people you've completed it? There isn't one, really. But I feel quite accomplished. After all, it's almost one hundred-thousand words in a single document, spanning all the way back from June until now. The story is complete, the chapters are all there. Now comes the shit part; finding an agent and editing and re-writing. Whoopdeedooda me. 
Over the next three weeks, I'll be putting it to the wayside and start writing something else. The story for the next one needs a bit of refining but it's cooking. This weekend I began storyboarding it, and I've got all my notes from the last year in a neat little pile on my nightstand. The last year? Whatever do you mean? I've been plotting this one for a while, but I wanted to do this one right, so I wrote my other novel first. I have five planned out, each with a different tone and subject matter altogether. 

I have one about two brothers and a murder, one about an escaped convict and a reporter, one about a woman who falls captive on an island, one about a small town murder mystery, and one love story gone wrong. 

All of which, I intend to write in that order, but it might change.

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the release party for An Unexpected End’s newest single, All Together in Denver . The band, abbreviated as AUE, has roots in Winkler and Morden, Manitoba, and has been touring across the country since 2020. Feature or Function: Extraction Shooters Need Drive

ARC Raiders - Embark Studios This evening I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the stress-test demo of Embark Studio's newest IP: ARC Raiders. The game, which promised to revolutionize and make extraction shooter's accessible, leaves me with more questions than a desire to keep playing. What changed in the formula other than an articulate ambiance and a fresh coat of paint with Unreal Engine 5's capabilities?  What exactly is an extraction shooter (ES)?  In simple terms, an extraction shooter is a type of videogame where the players drop or spawn into an area, loot the area, and get out. If you die in the zone, you typically lose all or some of the loot you gathered or came into the map with. Often, we see PvP or PvE or PvPvE mixes for this type of game.  The PvP elements mixed with the loop are what make an extraction shooter an ‘extraction shooter.’  You can do ES without PvP, but the loop is the defining factor. Interview with Matt Graham

The following is a transcript from an interview with Matt Graham, the lead bassist and singer of MattstaGraham. The band, based in Tucson, Arizona, is on the last leg of their Canadian Tour- opening for punk-rock classics "The Buzzcocks" and "The Descendants."   Yellow Paint , the band's third and most recent LP, brings all of the best qualities of their past works together with a fresh coat of flair.
